Oxfam welcomes the decision of the UN Security Council to renew the mandate of MINURSO for a further 6 months instead of the usual one-year extension, compelling the parties to take real and substantive action in a timely matter.

Responding to the latest draft of the COP26 decision text released earlier today, Tracy Carty, head of Oxfam's COP26 delegation said: "This draft text is still missing some vital elements."

Gabriela Bucher, Oxfam International Executive Director said: “Clearly some world leaders think they aren’t living on the same planet as the rest of us.
