Last week, Malian singer and guitarist Afel Bocoum was joined in Mali by British musician Damon Albarn for a unique music project aimed at drawing international attention to the growing humanitarian crisis in Mali and to the regional food crisis in West and Central Africa.
Today (7th November), Kinshasa One Two an album by DRC music released under WARP records will be available to buy online at www.oxfam.org.uk/drcalbum, and from selected Oxfam shops across the UK, with all profits going towards Oxfam’s work in the Congo.
Some of the biggest names in music, including Damon Albarn, Coldplay and Arctic Monkeys, have come together to put on a special auction to raise funds for Oxfam’s emergency response in Haiti.
