Ministers must deliver on their climate finance promises and support a second wave of attack on corporate tax cheats if their Lima meeting is to succeed, said Oxfam today.

In response to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development's (OECD) latest report on inequality, In It Together: Why Less Inequality Benefits All, Oxfam’s Senior Policy Advisor Claire Godfrey said:

Oxfam has carried out research on multiple inequalities in Pakistan in collaboration with the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), the findings of which are presented in this report.

Rising inequality poses a dire threat to continued prosperity in Asia, where an estimated 500 million people remain trapped in extreme poverty, most of them women and girls.

Germany and Spain have made the most dramatic increases in perceived seriousness of poverty and homelessness according to the latest GlobeScan poll of 24,000 citizens across 24 countries.
