With temperatures set to soar up to 104ºF (40˚C) in the coming weeks, international agency Oxfam has warned that the warmer weather will increase health-related risks for Syrian refugees.

In reaction to today’s international donors’ conference for the reconstruction of Mali [May 15, 2013], in Brussels, Marietou Diaby, Oxfam’s Country Director, said:

The human cost of Syria’s conflict has risen beyond all expectations. There are already more than 1.3 million Syrian refugees in neighboring countries.
