Oxfam statement on international NGOs' senior salaries

As an organization committed to ending poverty and inequality, Oxfam salaries are set at the level necessary to recruit and retain staff of the quality we need. We believe our senior staff are fairly rewarded for positions that involve extensive strategic and management responsibility, and long hours. Salaries of our senior executives are consistent with those of other international non-governmental organizations – and considerably less than those of an organization of this size and complexity in the private sector.
