In response to the Delhi rape case sentencing today Oxfam India CEO, Nisha Agrawal, said:
“The sentencing today of those convicted of the Delhi rape case has once again brought media attention to this horrific crime. It is startling that an estimated 90 per cent of rapes in India go unreported and one in every two women in the country have experienced violence in their daily life.
"What is needed is a deep attitudinal and behavioral shift to enable women to live without fear of violence. Oxfam India will continue to work towards that shift."
